Corfuapartments.com is organising a photographic competition for the year 2010 on the theme of "CORFU"
The participants’ work will be exhibited on the www.corfuapartments.com website.
Expiry date for the presentation of work: 31^st March 2010

COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The competition is aimed at people of all nationalities and of all ages, amateurs and professionals.
Entry is FREE OF CHARGE.
Each participant can present max. 5 photos per category

COMPETITION THEME
”CORFU AS SEEN BY YOU”
The photographs should depict landscapes and/or places of Corfu,
monuments, beaches, squares and all that you liked our island.

COMPETITION CATEGORY
BLACK & WHITE AND COLOURED PHOTOS

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE COMPETITION MATERIAL
The work presented must be previously unseen. Each participant is responsible for his/her own work.
The pictures must arrive in jpg. File format.
The size of the file must be 640x480 low resolution, max. 75 kb
The e-mail with the photos attached must also contain the participant’s personal details and a brief description of the photo itself.
Name – Surname – Address – Country – Telephone – E-mail address – Number of Photographs sent.

PRIZES
Top-rated participants in each category will receive a prize
The prize will be a week’s holiday for 2 people in our Repoulios Apartments residence in
Liapades bay (Paleokastritsa) during the month of June or September (depending on the winner’s choice)

PRESENTATION OF WORKS
The photos must arrive no later than 31st March 2010 at 11:59 pm – the hour of our server will be proof of dispatch, taking in to account any time zones of countries where the participants’ are resident.

The works sent may be used freely by Corfuapartments.com (mentioning the photographer’s name) for other events and/or exhibitions or publications relating to photographic competitions or published on our Corfuapartments.com website.

WORKS SELECTION PROCEDURE
Works sent will be published on our www.corfuapartments.com website in the Photographic Competition section up until 31th March 2010. Subsequently, they will be divided into categories – relating to “winning photos” and “participating photos”. The winners will be evaluated according to the final, undisputable decision of the examining commission and the participation in the competition implies the unconditional acceptance of the present regulations.
The method used for the assessment of the photos will favour: the photographer’s technical skill, the photo’s novelty and originality, the charming way in which any subjects present in the photo are presented.
Corfuapartments may exclude photos that are not connected in any way with the univocal theme of the competition.
